You're so cool, can I be your friend?

I hate moving. It is the WORST! I just want to be in my apartment already and have it look all pretty and homey. I have not been on top of updating because of it and it's killing me. For now, I will leave you with CSS to keep you entertained! Such an amazing band, even better live. And Lovefoxxx (the lead singer) has a serious love affair with bodysuits in all fabrics and prints. Love.

And we all float on OK

who knows if the moon's / a balloon, coming out of a keen city / in the sky - filled with pretty people?

I will fast for you, Mark!

I salivated over almost every piece in Mark Fast's Fall '09 collection...amazing. I find knitwear so fascinating! Each piece is so intricate and unique - the skirt in the picture above is beyond words. His inspiration for this collection?"Thunderstorms. That moment of fear and negativity, mixed with something that also feels beautiful."

Gimme gimme more

Yumm, eBay. What a wondeful place! Thrifting and consigning are my solution to avoiding lifelong debt due to all the ridiculous trends I tend to succumb to. Why pay $500 when I can pay $5 for something that was recycled from the 90s anyway? eBay is like one giant tag sale, like the ones people have when the whole block participates except it's the whole world. Amazing.

However, as patient as I am when perusing racks in a store, I am not so much when it comes to online perusing. Soo it's nice to have a few one-stop places to check out when I don't feel like sifting through all the crap for that perfect gold lame jacket. Yanno?

My two faves of the moment are Libra Vintage and Facade Vintage. Both have great quality photos (and styling!) and the best of the current trends.

Facade doesn't have anything for sale right now, but here are a few from Libra that I'm keeping an eye on...

Holy. Crap.

Even better, all listings start at $9.99!

Confession time

I'll admit it, I've always loved Justin Timberlake, even (maybe even especially?) when he looked like this:

My fragile tween heart was his for the taking and in my eyes, he could do no wrong (flame pants and mesh shirts included).

However, upon hearing about William Rast a few years ago, I cringed more than a little. (He had corn rows! He wore a full-on Canadian tux to the American Music Awards!) I saw a few pieces of one of their very first collections and then just stopped paying attention..until today.

During my desperate attempt to catch up with all the shows I've already missed, I found myself clicking on the William Rast Fall '09 collection, bracing myself for the unknown. And lo and behold, I was pleasantly surprised! The collection wasn't anything super original, but it most definitely touched upon what is now: biker jackets, studs, fringe, plaid, and lots of denim (their staple).

I even kindasortaokreally find myself liking the first jacket. And the tuxedo blazer with grommets. And the acid wash.

I was flipping through the new H&M spring magazine and came across an article about Thomas Voorn, a multimedia artist whose specialty is textile graffiti..

..who reminded me of D. Billy (who is equally amazing)

The textile graffiti might be a fun thing to try out in our new apartment! So many possibilities..

Secret society, secret society...

I have about three scanners/printers and they are all broken!
This makes me so sad because I have oodles and oodles of pictures that are totally scan-worthy.

Right now, I'm going to eat this:

And leave you with these (because Selma Blair is underrated and amazing)
